I received bloodwork results today that indicate I am in early menopause at 42. Very low estrogen and FSH. I will need to see an endocrinologist and start HRT. I don’t know if I am looking for advice or just perspective from others who entered menopause in their early 40s.
I feel so young. I have energy, I workout, sleep great, and am otherwise “healthy”, but I stopped getting periods last year and my libido completely flatlined, so I knew something was up. I figured I was in some stage of peri menopause or going through a weird hormonal phase. To hear that I am in the throes of menopause this early is a surprise and I am just trying to understand what the next phase of this will be like.
