I switched to a new private owned dental office form a larger corporate chain, at the previous office I was told I had periodontal disease, bone loss, deep pockets, needed cleanings every 3-4 months, had cavities, and even needed to have a gum graft done where my gum had slightly receded from having braces years ago. The new office today told me I didn’t have gingivitis or periodontal disease, my gums were very healthy, I did not have bone loss or deep pockets or any cavities. The dentist at my new said I was probably being over treated and a lot of corporate offices will do that. He said I only needed cleanings every 6 months. Has anyone else had something similar happen?
