Hair routine!

Here’s my routine since a few folks were asking :) (pic so it doesn’t get lost)

Relevant Info:
- Fine, thick, wavy hair
- Historically greasy scalp with dry ends
- Low porosity hair
- No hair dye
- Heat style 3–7 times per week
- Always blow dry after washing because it helps roots stay less oily
- Sleep with a silk bonnet every night
- Use a Wet Brush Paddle Brush and an Olivia Garden ceramic brush for blow drying
- Product application technique, especially conditioner application, makes a huge difference in results

I spend a decent amount of time on wash days, so this routine may not be for everyone!

Products:
- Suave Ocean Breeze Shampoo
- Herbal Essences Rose Hips Smoothing Shampoo
- Herbal Essences Rose Hips Smoothing Conditioner
- Pravana Intensive Leave In Treatment
- Elizavecca CER-100 Hair Muscle Essence Oil
- K18 AirWash Dry Shampoo

Instructions:
-Wash with Suave shampoo, parting hair into sections to thoroughly scrub scalp. Flip head upside down to scrub back and crown well. Rinse thoroughly, allowing suds to run through lengths
- Repeat using the Herbal Essences shampoo
- Squeeze excess water out of hair. Split hair in half and apply 1–2 pumps of conditioner per side. Then flip head over and add water while scrunching conditioner into hair. Continue adding water and conditioner until all hair feels slippery and fully conditioned - including roots!!! The conditioner bottle says to apply root to tip. I find this helps to reduce breakage, tangling, and excess oil production. Let conditioner sit for 3 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water
- Wrap hair in a microfiber towel or t-shirt
- Leave wrapped for as long as desired, I usually do 45 minutes to 1 hour
- Remove hair from wrap and shake it out to separate strands
- Shake Pravana well before using!! And continue shaking periodically during application. Split hair into two sections, apply liberally to damp hair using 6–8 sprays per side. Work through with hands then brush hair
- Apply 1 pump of Elizavecca oil to mids and ends and brush through
- Blow dry

Optional:
- Apply 1–2 sprays of Pravana and 1 pump of oil after blow drying
- Use dry shampoo as needed to extend wash days, shake well before use. Start with a few sprays and build up slowly to avoid overapplying! I will spray a pump in my hands to get around my hairline and behind my ears
- Reapply Pravana and oil to lengths between wash days as needed for refreshment

If you have questions or need clarification, feel free to ask!

Leave in conditioner is the secret sauce

I’ve been feeling like my routine was good but wasn’t perfect, and I had finally decided to try a different leave in. I’ve used it’s a 10 for a couple of years now, and it just wasn’t doing it for me anymore.

Admittedly I was influenced by TikTok, but I bought a bottle of the Pravana intensive leave in treatment, and y’all… this was what I was missing! Fantastic detangling on wet AND dry hair (so much slip, which I die for), and it’s super lightweight. Hands down the best leave in conditioner I’ve used, I’ve been using it for a month and plan to order more when it gets low. Big win in my book
