I paid a holding deposit for a flat and was told the landlord will hire someone for end of tenancy cleaning before I move in. I asked the Lettings agent if the carpets could be deep cleaned rather than hoovered/spot cleaned as I prefer to be barefoot in the house, whereas the current tenant has been wearing shoes on the carpet. I received the following response.

“Hello,
 
When the tenant moves out, the property is thoroughly inspected to make sure the apartment can be ready for the next tenant.
 
If there are any marks on carpets, or a deep clean is required, then the landlord will have this arranged.”

Is there anything I can do in this situation or do I just have to accept it probably isn’t going to happen?
