Julie begs her parents continuously to just please be present for their kids. Every single convo between them is like

Julie: "can you please take care of Ethan for even one second, so I can deal with my own grief"

Jim/Tabitha: "oh yeah I will.. right after.."

LIKE THIS IS A WORLD WHERE THEY DON'T HAVE WORK, THEY DON'T HAVE BILLS, THEY DON'T HAVE MUCH TO FILL THEIR DAYS. But they keep making up reasons to not watch their kids.

AND EVERY SINGLE TIME someone else is watching Ethan, they lose him. Except of course my king Victor who can do no wrong.
