Im juat curious on what the experts here think.

So I have a cat and two dogs. Everyone gets along very well. There are three nights a week where my ex usually keeps my dogs for me because I work 12 hour shifts on the weekends.

My question is this. When my dogs are not here, my cat isnt much of a lap sitter. She still hangs out with me, but she will just sit next to me and hang out when its just me and her.

When my dogs *are* here, shes like a totally different cat. Shes especially affectionate, and turns into a cuddly lap kitty.

I just dont understand why their presence changes her behavior so much! At first I thought it was bc shes happier when theyre here, but I also wonder if she feels possessive bc of how much shes in my space.

Thoughts?
