Hi I've never posted before and this is a bit of a random one.

I have ulcerative colitus with proctitus (diagnosed in april 2024 when i was 19) I've done quite well in managing it however tonight I've had stomach pain and blood in the toilet after pooping. I've looked to see what meds I have and I have budenofalk 4mg suppositories but it says they expire on 4/2026 which obviously ends today so I'm not too sure if it's safe to take or not?

I can ring my ibd team tomorrow and get some more medication. However, the last time I had an appointment they changed my meds over to mesalazine 1g suppository for when I'm next in a flare however I've heard alot of mixed things about this medication such as weight gain ect, just wondering if anyone has any advice on this, as the medication before i started my suppositories really didnt agree with me, it was some sort of enema but the name escapes me, bit nervous of another bad experience with meds.
