I (female) had a cystoscopy yesterday and it was horrible… two doctors told me it might just be a pinch when they inserted the scope and even my grandma said it wasn’t bad when she had hers. But I felt every single movement and I cried as soon as they left the room.

They told me I should be feeling better the next day and completely better within 48 hours. I’m very sore, it’s hard to pee (I have to strain) and I feel sick. I’ve taken Azo, naproxen, Tylenol, and I’ve been drinking water with baking soda. There’s still some burning when I pee but it’s not as bad as yesterday. Im worried that the pills I’ve taken is masking a fever because I have that heavy sick feeling and I slept over 12 hours last night. I called my doctor and they said they should get back to me within 2 hours… but has anyone else experienced something like this?

I’m also on long term antibiotics (trimethoprim daily and fosfomycin every 10 days) but I’m still concerned I might get a uti from this.
