A lawsuit I was apart of for nearly five years finally settled in November. I was awarded $200,000 in damages.

I’ll start by saying I did pay off nearly $20,000 in debt, which was a huge relief! But my family is not wealthy and they don’t have any worthwhile advice to share. I was so scared of misusing it that it’s currently locked in a CD that expires this coming November. The CD is at 4.6% with Marcus by Goldman and Sachs.

I have no idea where to invest or how to use it once the CD is up. I’m 27 years old. I work a part time job at a small retail store in my city. I know this money can work for me (and it’s already helped tremendously) but I don’t know how!
