Hey there, been a manager about 3 years now and never had to do this but my boss wants me to follow up. I had an interview with a really great candidate and they did well on their second interview with my boss. They were referred by an employee from a different location. My boss now wants me to follow up with that employees boss aka my peer to see if the referral should be trusted/if that employee is a good employee. Makes sense but I also don't know how to phrase is professionally in an email. The peer and location is from a different city so I've never met them before or been to their location.
