So I am one of many that installed and ran the virus .exe on my hard drive, my discord got hacked 4/21 which obviously tipped me off so i completely reinstalled windows on my pc but didnt clear out my external ssd which was connected the entire time? i only moved screenshots and clip studio files onto it after my pc got infected but all my steam games were already on it before hand. They attempted to steal my battle.net account today and i honestly can’t remember if I changed the password for it after the virus attack.

today i’ve changed all my emails, discord, b.net and a few other sites i can think of that i had been logged into but im stressed. I know the pinned post says it shouldn’t jump to SSDs and ive since logged into discord and steam after the reset and haven’t been compromised.

Also, i have not run any malware/software before or after which is definitely inadvisable but id like to get a consensus on if my ssd is infected before reconnecting to the internet to download something so i can just reset my computer again and then download protection.

I dont think I’ll ever trust my pc again, thanks in advance.

edit: i did drop some files in virus total but i opted to start doing some normal scans first; malware bytes, hitman pro and bit defender didn’t flag anything. any other tips are welcome! thank u, this thing is nasty.
