I’m uninstalling Two Point Museum for now, and honestly I’m pretty disappointed.
As a more casual player, I wanted to build one big museum, take my time, decorate it, collect exhibits, and enjoy the game at my own pace. Instead, I feel like I got trapped in a campaign grind where I’m constantly forced to move to other museums, repeat the same kind of work, chase stars, and unlock small items bit by bit just to keep progressing.
The frustrating part is that I had already spent hours building a museum I actually liked, only to realize the game keeps pushing me away from it. I even considered buying the DLCs, but at this point it doesn’t really make sense, because the game structure already makes me feel like I can’t focus on the museum I actually want to build.
And even if I ignore the campaign and play Sandbox, that doesn’t fully solve the problem either, because trying to build one huge museum with all the available exhibits and DLC content seems to run into performance problems, especially on PS5.
So it feels like the campaign doesn’t let me focus on one museum, and Sandbox may not handle the kind of museum I actually want to build.
I really like the idea of the game, but the structure feels punishing for players who don’t have endless time to grind through multiple maps just to unlock the full experience.
