I’m a tri athlete who trains around 15 hours a week. I track all my workouts with my coros pace pro that I currently have from swimming, running and cycling. Before I go into detail I would just like anyone’s opinion on what would suit me for what I’m about to discuss
Firstly, I had an Apple Watch Series 8 before. I loved the Apple ui and the software and how it integrates with my phone all all the Apple benefits of it running smoothly, having an amazing screen and watch faces etc. loved the weight of it on the Nike band and truly enjoyed it as a watch itself.
Then I switched to my current watch the pace pro. This was because I wanted a sports watch as then about a year ago coros was starting to become more known as performance leading watch. I like the ui for the sport and how it is shown on the watch. It tracks my swims perfectly without error and syncs to my training peaks easily. I use it now as my bike computer for mtb races. Also I use a heart rate strap and coros bicep band with this.
Along with this I bought a whoop. Love it for sleep and recovery tracking but now I don’t really need all the sleep and recovery insights the coros has.
I’m looking at the ultra cause it’s back to the Apple Watch I know and love and has same dual band gps as the coros and I just want to have and Apple Watch again cause I’ve kinda got bored of the coros and want something different.
Finally, what I’m looking for is will I loose anything if I switch to the ultra and will it be good for instant starts on running races, tracking swimming well and be used for mtb races.
If you read this I love you as it’s quite long ;)
