Grading Tips from a Machine?
Long story short I’ve been doing landscaping for the past 5 or so years, and my boss wants to get me in a Skid Steer to do some grading work. I feel like I have all the right piece I’m just having trouble fitting them all together.
It definitely just comes with practice and that’s not lost on me. But machines are also expensive to run and just “practice” in. But is there anyway I can practice on my free time that’s not in a physical machine?
When I was practicing hauling trailers and stuff, I would boot up American Truck Sim or Reverse Problem to get a feel for trailers and stuff. Can I do something similar with skid steers or is that too niche of a need?
I’m a 22 year old college student, so I don’t necessarily have the financial capacity or space to just rent one and practice. I do have a pretty nice computer that I can run games and stuff no problem, and I have Always had fun with flight sims so I’m not opposed to sinking some money into getting some joysticks. I just dont know if there’s anything past commercial grade software to help train me.
