Concurrently filed marriage-based I-130, I-485, & I-765. Can’t file a service request on I-765. E-timeline for I-765 is 8 months. How is it not 8 months from PD: July 29, 2025?

Concurrently filed marriage-based I-130, I-485, & I-765. Didn’t request AP because no reason to risk it in this climate. I’m USC. Wife was CHNV. Initially, she had until September 2025, but we filed a month after SCOTUS allowed termination because I had to gather papers to finalize my taxes that I thought I had a bit more time to do. We also have a 14 month old. Our timeline is:

PD: July 29, 2025

RFE (forgot to include signature page on my tax return): August 6, 2025

Response to RFE received: September 8, 2025

Interview scheduled: September 18, 2025

Interview: October 27, 2025

I-130 approved: March 24, 2025

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy about the I-130 approval. The problem is my wife is getting stir-crazy. I make plenty to support our family, but she is the type of person who feels the need to work, earn, and contribute. She absolutely already does contribute by taking care of our child and our home while I work, but she feels compelled to contribute financially in any way she can. I love that and think it is exactly the type of person that should be given the opportunity to become a USC.

That being said, we have not seen a single update to the I-765 since the notice of receipt on July 31, 2025 (282 days ago). The e-timeline is 8 months (although it has wavered around 8.5 months). I took a screenshot of my Lawfully app, but it reflects the e-timeline posted by USCUS. Nevertheless, it still says it’s within normal processing so I can’t file a service request. How is it not 8 months (or even 8.5 months) from July 29, 2025 (or even July 31, 2025)?
