Bottom Part which looks rotten
My cacti grown quite high in the last years and I needed to cut before it would fall. It was not standing straight anymore and even with support it started to go towards the floor. Here is the trunk now on which I see these unencouraging parts at one of the side. I actually can recall that there were some of these spots before, but being smaller. I know the parts which are staying in the earth are looking kinda like this, but still, those parts should be the in the earth. As I touch these parts I feel them somehow emtpier than other parts. It is not wet and the earth either, altough it got water last week, after almost 2 months of no water.
Can you confirm if there is something wrong with it or it is just fine? Also if I should replant to a more rocky pot? I replanted him 2 years ago. I had the plan to replant this spring, but as I cut of the upper parts ( years of grown), I din't want to shock him with a replantation too. I was considering replanting because it grown so big, I consider the earth not that nutrient anymore. I don't give synthetic fertilizer. If you think it shouldn't be replanted, could you recommend me some kindof natural option with what I can feed him?
Btw the cut chunks are now in rooting phase and the top cut already started to grow yaaay (after 1 month of staying in air and 2 weeks placed on rocky earthy mix)
The other part of the bottom which looks quite nice and healthy
