I formed an LLC recently, mainly for liability protection, but I’m realizing I’m not totally sure what it takes to properly keep my personal assets separate from the business.
I know just filing the LLC alone probably isn’t enough. I keep hearing about things like separate bank accounts, clean bookkeeping, contracts in the company name, and avoiding mixing personal and business money.
For those who’ve done this correctly, what are the main things you need to do so the LLC is actually respected as separate from you?
Just trying to make sure I set it up the right way from the start and don’t accidentally create problems later.
I visited a fashion shop to buy women bonnets two days ago. I wanted something stylish and affordable. I also wanted discounts. But when I checked the bonnets I felt disappointed. Some were cheap but not stylish. Some were stylish but no discount. I could not trust them. I could not decide confidently.
Then I visited another shop in the same area. Some bonnets looked better but prices were high. Some were affordable but not good quality. Some seemed perfect at first but stitching was weak. I remembered I bought a bonnet before that faded quickly. That made me hesitate even more.
To check more variety and options while scrolling many online marketplaces including alibaba I found many bonnet deals. Some had discounts and style. Some were simple and low price. Some had better design and material. There were many options available. This made me excited but also confused again.
It feels that I go out of mind when I have huge number of options. Now I am thinking should I wait for online discounts or trust local stores for real fashion quality? What would you do in my place?
