Hello,

I started using tret .0025 in June 2025 due to hormonal acne and scarring (gave birth in May 2025) and contraceptive pill (Syeda). I used tret for 13-14 weeks but it whooped my butt! I tried to sandwich, bought a million moisturizer, cleansers, and hydrating serums then I just gave up. I didn’t know if my skin was irritated or purging. The consistent drying and breaks started to affect my mental health lol!

I let my skin rest for 2-3 weeks then switched to AA %15 and Differn. However, during my rest I notice my forehead either dehydrated or I have expression lines. I’m only 29 and my forehead TOO wide, I cannot stop looking at these lines 😂 it’s too much! My gut keeps telling me tret dehydrated my skin so after 4 weeks of my new actives, I stopped applying it to my forehead.

Question! How can I hydrate my forehead while using actives. Not applying to my forehead will be enough? Should I reconsider adding hydrating serum? Will it go away over time and I need to be patient lol?

AM:

LPR Toleriane Hydrating Cleanser

AA 15 %

LPR Double repair Moisturizer

Black girl suncreen

PM:

LPR Toleriane Hydrating Cleanser

( OR LPR Purifying Foaming Cleaners if my skin oily)

Cera Ve (in Tub)

2 night I use differn

2 night I use hydroquinone ( just started this week)

I use Cera Ve Vitamin C eye cream every morning and night or a thin layer of aquaphor or Vaseline for my dark curls.

Also, again, I don’t apply actives to forehead.
