They ask you to enter your information so they can steal it, gain access to your account, and likely steal money from it.

They message you on Steam saying you have something valuable and that they’ll pay you well for it.

Then they send you a link, where they ask you to log into your Steam account to view the supposed “valuable item” you have.

That’s how they steal access to your Steam account.
