My tank is new. I cycled it for about 3/4 weeks and it’s been running with cherry shrimp in for about a week. About a week into the cycle I had this algae issue start but it’s starting to completely take over the tank. I’ve reduced the light hours and definitely haven’t overstocked or over fed. I keep reading that diatoms are completely normal in a new tank but everybody’s photos of it in their tanks don’t look anything like how bad mine is so I’m wondering if it’s a different type of algae or something?
