Hi everyone,

I’m a non-EU student in the Netherlands. I recently dropped out of university, and I was informed that I have to leave the Netherlands within 4 weeks. I was also told that I need to return my residence permit card before leaving.

My concern is: if I return the residence permit card before my departure date, could that cause any problems while leaving the country? For example, at the airport during passport control, boarding the flight, or anywhere else?

Has anyone been in a similar situation or knows how this usually works?
