Mother's Day...

With it being Mother's Day, it's again time to think about our Mom, Odalia.

Oh, I know that many people can only see the 'bad' side of her.

But it's necessary to point out the fact that whatever she did, she is still our Mom.

We can't just totally write her out of our lives.

No matter how much we are trying to come to terms with everything that happened, get our lives back on track, nothing can change the facts.

So, I'll be thinking about Mom today, and hoping that she is faring ok.

But I also can't forget what happened.

Happy Mother's Day Mom...😥

Dad kinda got us signed up to visit with Mom on this "Mother's Day"...

Mittens doesn't want to go.

I can't say I blame her!

Ed says he can cope with it.

I'm not so happy about it myself, but it is only one day. 🤷‍♀️

"But Mittens? We have no choice. We have to go visit with Odalia."

(I know Amity dislikes calling her Mom...)

"Dad sorta signed us up for this, much as I don't like it. It is what it is."

The Origin Of Witches In The Demon Realm...

By Edalyn Clawthorne

Our old tales tell of a race of Elven people who once lived in the Human Realm, but were basically driven out by the changes wrought by the Humans as they became more technically advanced, and separated from the natural world order.

In some areas, religious fervour led to the Elven people being perceived as Demons, and actively hunted down.

This drove the survivors to hide away from the Humans.

In time, the Elven people's original interaction with the Humans was almost forgotten by the Humans, turned into myths and legends.

A chance discovery of a natural portal to the Demon Realm led to the exodus of the Elven people from the Human Realm, into the Demon Realm.

Natural evolution in this different environment, together with the strong magic energy of the Demon Realm led to the Witches we now know.

Continued interaction with the Human Realm led to the Humans becoming aware of the existence of Witches.

Again, religious fervour led the Humans to turn on the Witches, and the infamous Witch Hunts led to the abandonment of most travel between the Realms.

Some Humans that had found their way through natural portals and survived to return to their Realm led to many more Human myths and legends.

Over time, the natural portals became less common, as the Titan Blood that made most of these portals either dried up, was collected, or simply moved to another location.

And so, the knowledge of the existence of the different Realms by the residents of the Realms became generally more legendary than factual.
