Hi! My family and I have been planning to go to the Renaissance Faire in Escondido this season but are no longer able to. We have been planning our costumes for months, but sadly the date just isn't going to work this time around and my kid is seriously bummed since we put in so much effort.

We still want to get use out of our costumes this season WITHOUT taking a road trip out to the Pleasure Faire in Irwindale. Looking for local SD events. Anybody know where I could find an event like that??

The knight fight at Barley and Sword this past weekend is an excellent example of what I'm looking for. Family friendly, costumes encouraged.
