I just got randomly reminded of an anime I once started but didn't finish bc I wasn't interested. Now I really want to watch it. It has one scene where some girl got her neck sliced through to be a gift or something to the gods and she then got thrown into a pit. She was the sister of someone and I think the boy was supposed to be sacrifised but they then chose his sister, older sister. The boy was mad and hurt. It was very dark even the first episode. I think the boy later met a magicel or ghostly tiger or cat looking being that could talk. I don't remember much more. I The brother and sister lived in a tent or something and I think after his sister got killed, he ran away from his village. The boy and his sister had a darker skintown and the artstyle was unusual for an anime, so when I remembered it, I first thought it was from netflix but im sure that it isn't on netflix. Maybe something like atla where it's inspired by anime but not really one. Please help
