I really need a job (apprenticeship) so I can gain some more independence from my family. It’s been hard to find a job and car. I am pretty sure I could get an apprenticeship with a JW much easier than with anyone else, but I don’t know if that’s the best choice. Finding an apprenticeship is hard, and I don’t have a car yet, so I can’t as easily reach out to as many businesses unless it’s over the phone. I just know it can take a long time, which isn’t ideal.

They just want people to join without thinking. This is blatantly obvious by the way they are telling people that “The best time to push toward baptism is now.” They don’t care whats best for anyone or how much they know, they just want them to up their quarterly report.

The main reasons they say you could be delaying is because of a lack of knowledge, the cost and the influence of others. Which definitely could be a reason, But the scariest part about this article is how little importance they place on gaining knowledge of their doctrine. They outright say “If you… have gained a basic knowledge of bible teachings… you are ready for baptism.” They don’t want them to learn about their doctrine or understand what beliefs they’re dedicating themselves to, or the risks that come from later deciding against those beliefs. They want people to get baptised without them thinking, trapping them before they realise what they’ve gotten into.

I think this is especially aimed at born-ins, as it is the culture and is seen as a good thing to get baptised young anyway. They say in Paragraph 8 that “your age does not need to prevent you from building a close relationship from Jehovah” sorry dedicating your life to the governing body. It’s especially scary since they’re just rushing kids into making a life changing decision that will affect them for the rest of their life, whether they believe it or not. Nobody ever encourages kids to question “the truth” or come to their own conclusion, they only push them to get baptised.

They then spend a long time using scare tactics. They start in paragraph 10 with something pretty tame, “Keep ready, for at an hour that you do not think is likely, the son of man is coming,” even if it is still used to give an uncertainty to the reader. They then say in Paragraph 11 that “We may not even have one more day “to do what is right,”” but can’t be in that much of a rush if the thing that our life depends on is only available a few times a year at most. If this were true wouldn’t they want to be baptising people almost every meeting? They even say that “At God’s due time, the door will be closed and permanently locked.” It’s hilarious as this goes directly against how they have said that people could still get baptised and join them after the fall of Babylon, yet they want it both ways. These all are used to scare and rush those considering it into getting baptised, in fear they will be killed for not doing so right now. But they still want to give some hope to other member’s who don’t want their family and friends killed with their Armageddon after Babylon thing.

Anyway, those were just some of my thoughts of the latest watchtower and how they’re getting more desperate, manipulative and contrived every week.

Sorry this is a bit late, my drafts Saturday and Sunday didn’t save and I finally got time to write again.

Edit: Strikethrough
