Possibly of Descendants characters having relatives that are not part of the Disney franchises

If Mal is confirmed to be cousins with Ares (since Hades is Mal’s father. So that would mean that Mal would have a big family tree on her father’s side of the family tree), and according to DC comics (which is owned by Warner Brothers); Ares is half sibling to Wonder Woman. So would’ve made Mal the only Descendants character to have a non Disney relative, or is she?

Is it possible for the other Descendants characters to have some relatives that are not a part of the Disney franchises (not including those that are technically owned by Disney or Hulu. Since Hulu is owned by Disney currently.)? 🤔

Hephaestus is one of Mal’s many cousins, so I would include him in the list for my challenge on trying to draw all of Mal’s family members on the dad side of the family tree in order.

So here’s Hephaestus, the God of Blacksmiths and craftsmanship.

Although in the original mythology, Hephaestus was abandoned by Hera because of his face being disfigured at birth, in my version of him for Descendants, I would say that he was born pretty but he had some birth defects where his arm and back leg didn’t fully formed before he was born. So he had to make himself some prosthetics to help him navigate despite his disability. (And I might say he’s the only true disabled God in his family, if not counting Hades possibly having PTSD.)

Hephaestus was originally married to Venus, but due to him finding out that his wife was in a love triangle with his step brother (Ares. Keep in mind that Hephaestus doesn’t have a biological father, since he was created by Hera using magic), and that caused him to be upset by it.

Hephaestus does have a few kids, including Pandora (which similar to his mother Hera, he created her himself. But more on Pandora for another time)

And for how close is his relationship with Mal as cousins, Hephaestus and Mal gets along pretty well as cousins in my headcannon.

And with that, another cousin completed.

(FYI: Before you get all screwy with me and start being all “But he’s not in Descendants!” This is a crossover between 3 things. MLP, Greek mythology, and Descendants. As Mal and Hades are mentioned in the description for this drawing. So as long as I mention any Descendants characters, it gets a pass)
