▲ 23 r/Welding

I posted some absolutely butchered 20 gauge coupons the other day, I took some advice and got some thicker material and a plate of aluminum to heatsink the pieces.

Still not a great tig welder, but got results that are more like I’m used to seeing.

My question now is how do I translate my capabilities to thinner gauge material?… like if I wanted to do an exhaust

Obviously way less heat, I know you’d have to back purge and all that, but just for practice on coupons…
