The downgrade feels like an upgrade

Moved to a different country, sold a 2024 Peak Edition SE with Tech for a 2023 Highline. Honestly, this feels like an upgrade for the following reasons:

  1. THE BUTTONS. Oh lord I cannot express how nice it is to have actual buttons for the AC and heated seats and head lamps and roof lamps.

  2. The infotainment screen on the 2024 was always glitching. Used to randomly get horizontal streaks on it which required a restart of the head unit. The dome light used to get phantom touches, the carplay used to disconnect with a "turn on wifi" warning randomly. All of that is mostly gone. Yeah carplay in the 2023 does disconnect and the screen randomly restarts once a day, but it comes back reliably.

  3. The v6 is such a better engine. Its so smooth, especially at the low end. I cannot believe they got rid of this engine for the 4 cylinder. I get 22-26mpg across both engines, so I really never understood the point of the noisy 4 cylinder with low torque. I do miss how the sports mode sounded though sometimes.

Overall, very happy with the 2023. Made the right call, got some equity out too.

Edit: do miss the light bars, I'll admit.
