Hey everyone,
I’m reaching out for help with a "No Signal" issue that has persisted since I first put this build together. I have never been able to get a display out of this system.
The Specs:
- GPU: GTX 1650
- CPU: Ryzen 5000 Series (5500)
- Motherboard: MSI B550
- PSU: 750W
The Problem: From the very first boot (and even after flashing the BIOS to ensure CPU compatibility), I get "No Signal" on the monitor.
The Key Evidence:
- EZ Debug LEDs: It passes the CPU and RAM checks, skips past VGA, and stays on a solid BOOT LED.
- Keyboard Response: The Caps Lock light toggles when pressed. I know the CPU is functioning and the system is likely waiting in the BIOS, but I cannot see anything.
- Verified Hardware: I confirmed the monitor and HDMI cable work perfectly by plugging them into my laptop.
What I've already tried:
- Flashed the BIOS to the latest version via Flash BIOS Button.
- Tried multiple HDMI and DisplayPort cables.
- Reseated the GPU and tried the bottom PCIe slot.
- Full CMOS clears (battery pull and JBAT1).
- Verified the CPU is a standard model (not a 'G' series), so I am plugging into the GPU, not the motherboard.
Since the Caps Lock is toggling, I'm confident the CPU and RAM are fine. Since the issue existed before and after the BIOS flash, is it likely a dead-on-arrival GTX 1650, or could it be a specific PCIe lane issue with the Ryzen 5000 / B550 combo?
I’m considering picking up an RTX 3070 to see if a different card solves it, but I’d like to rule out any other possibilities first.
Thanks for any insights
