As a CS upcoming grad. I have an offer from RTX for System Engineering I role, I have signed the offer and have submitted all the background paperwork 2 weeks ago. I recently have an interview with Lockheed for a Software Engineer position (with a possibly start date in December) last week and have heard from the recruiter that hiring manager will be extending an offer in the next couple of days but I have not officially receive anything yet. Working for either defense company has been a goal for for a new grad like me, but I am bit confused to which role or which company to choose. Location wise, LM is much closer to where I lived (15 - 20min drive), while RTX is (~1hr30 might be longer bc of traffic) and I might have relocate. The question I want to ask is what would you guys do in the same situation and which starting role will be a good stepping stone for a long term career in Defense Company? I'm worried that if I do end up backing out from RTX offer since I signed it and might be blacklisted and not eligible for hire later on.
