I'm a West Valley student transferring to SJSU in the fall. My boyfriend is a composer, and I'm an artist. I was looking for industry networking events in the South Bay but couldn't find many, so I decided to make my own! Introducing South Bay Young Adult Artist Network, SBYAAN, or "sibban"! It's free to join and our Discord already has some members. We envision it as a place to promote yourself, collaborate, find work, and share gigs for artists of all industries. We recruited some SJSU and West Valley students, and I would love to expand membership to other schools and beyond college campuses!
Eventually I would love to have an email list, a Linkedin group, Facebook group, an artist directory, and irl speakers and meetups. I have connections with graphic designers and artists who would love to come in and speak. Please share our website and discord with anyone who might be interested!
