Feeling stuck as a fresher – seeing others succeed with fake experience

Hi everyone,

I’m going to be very honest here.

I’m a fresher and I’ve been trying to get a job for a long time now, but nothing is working out. It honestly feels like my days are getting wasted and I’m stuck.

I’m open to starting with entry-level roles, but most companies still expect experience, which makes it really hard to even get shortlisted.

At the same time, I see many of my friends getting into jobs by showing prior experience, and they’ve been working for quite some time now. A lot of people around me are suggesting that I should do the same.

I’m seriously thinking about it, but before taking any step, I want to understand the real situation from people who have actually gone through this.

If anyone here has taken a similar path or knows how things work in reality:

How is it going for you?

Were there any challenges after getting the job?

Is it manageable in the long run?

Also, if you’re comfortable, feel free to DM me. I would really appreciate genuine guidance.

Fresher confused between Testing vs DevOps – need real advice

Hey everyone,

I’m a fresher from India trying to get into IT, and I’m a bit confused about my direction.

- Software Testing (manual)

- Java

- DevOps concepts (including CI/CD, Git, and deployment workflows)

The main issue is I haven’t been consistent with practice for a while, so I feel like I’m stuck in between — not fully confident in any one area.

Now I’m confused:

- Should I focus on Software Testing (and move towards automation with Java/Selenium)?

- Or should I continue with DevOps/Cloud and build deeper skills there?

I’ve also seen people suggesting fake experience, but I’m not sure if that’s worth the risk.

My goal is to get a job as soon as possible and then grow my skills further.

What would be the most practical path for someone in my situation in 2026?

Any guidance, roadmap, or real-world advice would really help 🙏
