Jolly Roger Bay - Three layer color-reduction linocut prints made by me

I’m a printmaker and I make prints inspired by the games that I am nostalgic for and that inspire me. Super Mario 64 is a massive part of my childhood and I made a print to show my appreciation for this fantastic game. I wanted to share it since it’s one of my favorite uses of color and reduction that I’ve done to date!

This is a Super Mario 64 inspired three-layer color-reduction linocut gamescape print. I don’t really feel like I need to say much about this game. It speaks for itself. this game revolutioned gaming and more or less created the 3D platformer genre. The opening sequence outside of Peach’s castle, the third and last fight with Bowser. This game is perfect (except rainbow ride 😡). This dang eel was the stuff of nightmares when I was a kid, and now it is one of my favorite parts of the game. This is the first game that I ever beat, and it’s a game that I will continue to revisit and beat every year or so.
