ꨄ︎ Hi lovely babies! ꨄ︎

I promise I’ll post about Yuwu tomorrow!!! I only slept for 4 hours today CRAZY… There are so many deadlines at university since the academic year is almost over.

Tomorrow I’ll have more time, and I’ll share my thoughts about what happens later in Yuwu, because some things seriously need to be discussed…

I wish you all the best, lots of love, and have a wonderful day! (meanwhile, I’m going to sleep... I will try🫠)

By the way, if you accidentally ended up in the Yuwu universe, which character do you think you’d be?

(I’d probably be Murong Chuyi - oh yes, me being a hardcore tsundere ahah will be iconic 100000%😭)

I hope all of you are having a good day!

Today I’ll make a short post, but tomorrow I’ll come back with a new one about Yuwu! So get ready for more suffering haha.

I also started watching a really funny C-drama (AHAH I genuinely can’t with the male lead)… he’s so funny, and the dynamic between him and the female lead is hilarious. The name is Love Between Fairy and Devil. Wang Hedi, who plays the main role, has so much potential to star in BL historical cdramas someday, tbh (let’s just ignore censorship for a moment).

I was so shocked to see Zhang Linghe as the second lead.. it was such a nice surprise! Well, I just started, so I’ll see if it’s worth watching or not.

By the way, has anyone here watched it?

Lots of love!!! 💕

Hi my lovely friends! (It’s night for me right now, so I decided to do my favorite thing - posting something here hehe~)

First of all, I want to thank every single one of you who has joined this community! I’m really happy about everyone who reads the posts and shares their thoughts. Please feel free to share anything you’d like - we have a very cozy space here 🖤

I was also thinking… since I’m currently reading Yuwu, maybe I’ll reread 2ha afterward. What do you think? I guess "suffering" is my second name ahah...

Once I finish Yuwu, I’ll make a poll about what to read next (maybe not erha idk yet). What is the most heartbreaking danmei you’ve ever read? Now I’m curious what touched your heart the most? Or destroyed you... For me, definetly mdzs - forever in my kokoro c:

For now, I wish you all lots of love, strength and inspiration! ✨and we'll see each other again soon~~

Zhou He is really something else… with that damn iron glove of his… What do you think you’re going??! If you touch Gu Mang, I swear I’ll kill you!!! Remember him! He is a pain in the ass.

The other freak you should remember is golden-masked demon. Remember this bastard. He got mentioned AGAIN! The same one who killed that powerful cultivator in the first books. This cultivator (the legend) was tricked by demons into sacrificing a girl he liked the most as a “priestess,” only to find out he’d been completely deceived - she and the other girls were buried alive in the mountain. I remember that scene so clearly… it was horrifying. You don’t just forget something like that. And then that cultivator (sorry I don't remember his name) went to confront the masked demon and got brutally killed, literally cut in half… it’s insane. How strong is this demon?!

Anyways, what a genius idea from the emperor of Chunhua to send Gu Mang with confidential information into the Liao kingdom to “gather info”… Like, does he seriously think demons are stupid? Remember the golden-masked demon? I didn't mention him for nothing.

What is Gu Mang supposed to do - just show demons the scrolls and they’ll be like, “Sure, come in, we trust you, you’re basically one of us now”? Are they all insane or what? God… poor Gu Mang… From around chapter 120, everything just turns into absolute hell. Was I ready for it? NO! He reaches the Liao kingdom, and in order to become one of them, he basically has to destroy his own core, erase all Chunhua techniques, and carve demonic power into his bones. c:

So what... So what?! That means the dark energy stays with you forever. Yeah "welcome to a demon cla". Even if you try to get rid of it, something will always remain inside your bones, your body. Until every last piece of you is destroyed, you’re a demon until the end. And let me remind you, Gu Mang was someone who cultivated pure, righteous energy from the very beginning. His core was formed among cultivators with incredibly pure spiritual power, almost like a monk or a celestial being. And what happens to him? His memory is erased. He’s tortured… his skin is torn off, his bones are broken, and demonic inscriptions are carved into him so that nothing of his life in Chunhua remains. And you’re telling me anyone can just mentally recover from that? (I am talking about 8 years back in time).

JUST LET ME GO THERE! I swear I’d beat that masked demon myself. I’m so angry at him. It has to be him. No one else. He killed that man, and he destroyed Gu Mang. I’ll show him what real torture is. There won’t be anything left of him. Especially the same goes for Zhou He. I will challenge them to a fight and settle things with each of them.

What did Gu Mang do to deserve this? He was tortured in Liao, then came back to Chunhua, regained his memories and became a target for torture all over again. I saw it coming, but seriously, enough already. And what I didn’t expect is that Zhou He *absolute psycho* would keep erasing his memory again and again, even after he struggled so much to recover it. JUST STOP!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

After reading these chapters, I feel completely drained. I just sit there staring into space for hours. And this isn’t even my first danmei - I’ve read a lot, but every single time I feel everything the characters go through so intensely. My advice? Don’t do what I do lol.

It’s just unbearable. General Gu spends his entire life suffering, and he doesn’t even get the chance to be with the person he loves, to sort things out, to just live peacefully for once. It hurts so much to read. I feel completely empty. That’s honestly why I named my community Danmei Therapy - maybe here I can finally find some peace by sharing all of this with you. God, please give me strength 😭

Hi everyone! It's Yutu again! I’m continuing reading Yuwu and wanted to share some thoughts (and confusion 😭) about the plot so far… (please no spoilers ^^)

So I’m trying to understand this whole Zhenlong Formation/forbidden technique with the weiqi pieces, and honestly… I’m still confused. From what I got, white pieces are one of the three great forbidden techniques (what the other two are - no idea).

Basically, black and white weiqi pieces can be infused with spiritual energy and used to control literally any living being - humans, animals, demons, immortals. As long as a piece is inside them, they become puppets and follow commands. BUT the catch is that you need an insanely high cultivation level to even create one piece, since it costs a huge amount of spiritual energy. Which makes me question… since when is Lu Zhanxing that powerful? Because I genuinely don’t remember that being emphasized at all.

So the way I see it, someone (probably that masked guy from earlier books) implanted a white piece into Lu Zhanxing and has been controlling him this whole time. But then I don’t understand something else - why does the Liao kingdom even need to execute him? If he’s already a puppet and possibly not even fully aware of himself anymore, wouldn’t it make more sense to just keep using him? Erase his memory, control him quietly, whatever. So why kill him at all? At this point I kind of take back everything I said about him, because if you really think about it… he never had a chance from the beginning. And honestly, I agree with the emperor here - no matter how harsh it sounds, Lu Zhanxing is probably doomed. He just knows too much.

The part that actually broke me was when Mo Xi goes to the emperor to talk about Lu Zhanxing, and it turns out that he was framed, and Gu Mang is sent to the Liao kingdom as a spy - which is basically the same as sending him to his death. I was NOT okay after that conversation at all. Like… just imagine being Gu Mang in that moment. You can’t save your friend, and you don’t even have a choice - the emperor’s command is absolute. And then later we know that something happens after his desertion, because he ends up becoming a demon general and Mo Xi was trying to talk to him back on the ship… and that made me think - what if Gu Mang was also controlled? After leaving Chunhua, he was at his most emotionally destroyed, and that would have been the perfect moment to manipulate him. Which makes the ship scene hit completely differently - was that really the Gu Mang Mo Xi knew, or was he already under the influence of that technique?

And then there’s the emperor… the thing that annoyed me the most was when he said something like “what would happen if I reformed the political system?”… Are you serious? What did you expect? That changing an entire system would lead to peace and everyone being happy? Of course there will be resistance, backlash, maybe even rebellion. But there will also be people who support you, because you’re one of the few rulers who actually acknowledged that something is wrong. Yes, reforms mean risk, sacrifice, instability, but without that, nothing changes. You’re the emperor, you have the power, and systems are supposed to evolve, not stay corrupt forever. I understand his fears of rebellion, overthrow, losing power, but then the question is: if not him, the emperor, then who? The Yiling Patriarch (Wei Wuxian) couldn’t change things in his time… but here you are, with the authority to actually do something.

What do you guys think? Btw this whole story is about chapters 116-120.

So here I am, already on Book 5 of Remnants of Filth. It’s hard to believe, but I only have two books left and the story will be over. I’ve already grown so attached to everyone. They all feel like family to me.

Earlier, I talked about the relationship between Gu Mang and Mo Xi, and also about Lu Zhanxi. He really is a complicated character. It turns out that there’s something much bigger behind his murder of the ambassador from the enemy state… The Emperor said that he supposedly trusted someone voluntarily, but his strange actions still can’t be justified. At this point in the story, Mo Xi has restored the scrolls that reveal the truth, and I’m incredibly curious about what really happened eight years ago.

And I was completely losing it at Chapter 106… where Gu Mang and Mo Xi… well, you know (I’ll stay quiet)~~

Seriously, how could they come back from Bat Island and not notice that those two idiots had swapped their hair ribbons?! HOW?! Like, sure, let’s just show all of Chunhua how great it was that we slept together why not? I feel embarrassed on behalf of Princess Mengze…

Today I’d like to talk about the complicated relationship between Murong Chuyi, Yue Chenqing, and Jiang Yexue. Oh wow, their dynamic is such a mess!

First of all, I really like Murong Chuyi as a character, but I can’t fully sympathize with him the way I do with Mo Xi, at least not yet. Maybe that will change later. He just hurts Yue Chenqing! My poor baby… I can practically hear Chenqing running after him, desperately calling “Fourth Uncle!” He values him so much and clearly loves him deeply. And yet this cold, icy man just ignores him and keeps scolding him, even though Chenqing only wants to help... He even wants to cure his illness!

Murong Chuyi isn’t actually his real uncle, but he respected, valued, and in his own way loved Chenqing’s mother very much. However, he couldn’t stand her husband. But is that really enough reason for him to treat Chenqing this way? It all feels so strange…

For example, in the cave during the Bat Island arc, even though he was angry at Chenqing’s recklessness, I still feel like deep down he was worried about him, he just doesn’t show it.

But then there’s his attitude toward Jiang Yexue… it feels like he has even more resentment toward him, maybe because he’s Chenqing’s older brother. But why? I just can’t understand such strong hostility toward them. Yes, their mother died and remarried a certain person but what does that have to do with the children?

At some point I got a bit confused about who is related to whom in terms of uncle–nephew relationships (especially Murong Chuyi and Jiang Yexue… (maybe someone can explain their relationship?). I guess I missed something haha.
