Essays: wrote very last minute, pretty average tbh. i just wrote about why im passionate in bio + writing, and then my experience growing up in poverty and having to fight for things everyone else naturally got

LORs: i think they were okay???? i dont come to school very often because of extenuating circumstances so idk if my teachers know me that well

USC bovard: rejected. this was genuinely my dream for the past MONTHS leading up to applying

governors school: i lowk quit my application mid way bc i didnt feel like applying anymore

My takeaways: didn't expect to get in anywhere bc of how trash my stats were but i think my essays + extenuating circumstances carried 😭 this was also my first time applying to summer programs so i'm honestly really lucky with how everything turned out! good luck to everyone else!!
