Hey yall,
basically I wanted to share with you my chrome extension that I just finished. It essentially takes badly written prompts (think paragraphs, runon sentences etc) and turns them into token efficient coding prompts for Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini to use. It is NOT a AI wrapper, it works better than the AI models shown through testing, averaging 39-40% less token use when using the efficient prompts compared to just pasting the prompt as is. A raw session would use about 22k tokens, while the PromptBeaver version dropped closer to 13.5k.
The funny part is PromptBeaver actually makes the initial prompt longer sometimes — but the overall coding session becomes way shorter and cleaner because the AI wastes less time getting lost.
Right now it’s especially good for:
- large refactors
- feature additions
- messy architecture prompts
- “don’t break my existing app” tasks
- chaotic late-night coding ideas
