10k Investing into an S&S ISA 20M
I've been working since I was 17, so I had a lot of money saved up, probably like 30k, however I decided to pay my uni fees out of pocket as I didn't care for stocks at all and just put my money into a savings account at 2% every paycheck.
As I've paid for 2 years currently, I have £12500 left. I already invested £2500 into semiconductor etfs, £1000 in 4x soxl (which was probably a mistake for someone so new to investing but I wasn't afraid of losing that money), £500 in SMH, £500 in a penny stock that is continuing to go up, and £500 in micron.
With 10k left, I am planning to keep 5k as an emergency fund (and always make sure that if for some reason i have to use it, i top it up before putting money back in stocks) and put the other 5k into the isa. I was going to put the 5k in VWRL as that was the initial plan before I decided to put 2.5k into semiconductors, but looking for advice on what to do with the £5k, and whether to take out the £1000 in 4x soxl and chuck it in something like SMH or a much less riskier option.
Again, for the past 3 years i would just take at max half of my paycheck (usually a quarter) and just chuck it in a savings account, so really with stocks im looking at the long term since every year i plan to max out my isa and do the same thing, put the money away and leave it, ideally till 2030. End goal right now is a deposit on a house, I want to have 100k from paychecks and stock by the time in 25/26.
Any help or advice even not for this scenario but in general would be really appreciated.
