Hello to all.

I'm whole life PC/Windows user but was always curious about Macs. I love their UI and that closed ecosystem is something that seems like logical way to me.

I am motion graphics producer and I also use a lot of 3D elements rendered in third party software with occasional full 3D animations. I primarily work in After Effects but also in Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine.

Since I don't have some dedicated office space in my apartment, I think that laptop is more or less only way to go.

I do have older PC in my apartment but I am living with girlfriend in hers because it's closer to both our jobs...life 😅

I get occasional freelance work and do it on that old PC since working on company PC is not an option, plus I also want to separate main job from freelance. With this kind of notebook I would accept more work because currently it's not so practical to work in office, live in one place and do freelance in another.

So, on my job I have PC with RTX 4090 and 192gb or RAM with i9 CPU and obviously it is a beast. I am realistic and aware that I can't get same performance from notebook but seeing some benchmarks out there, it does look quite capable.

My question is: Since it is new configuration on the market, do any of you guys who owns M5 Max have any experience on how does it perform in Unreal Engine 5 and/or Cinema 4D? Any feedback would be appriciated!

Thanks! 😊

TL:DR - I consider buying M5 Max (40core, 48gb or higher), has anyone tried it in Unreal Engine 5/Cinema 4D and how it performs?
