Kernel 7.0.x in Testing, apt-upgrade, ZFS fails, NVIDIA fails :)
Just the usual stuff:
- kernel 7.0 made its way into 'testing'
- apt policy zfs-dkms shows 2.4.1 wheras only zfs-dkms 2.4.2 does properly support kernel 7.0
- nvidia (proprietary due to RTX5060Ti-16G) has the same issue during dkms-based module rebuild.
So right now I'm starting to limit my 'Debian testing' to latest 6.x kernel and omitting 7.0 completely - and waiting for another half year or so.
I know zfs-dkms is not something the Debian community should maintain or care of that much but at least a pre-check could have been done to make sure when the team introduces 7.0 into the distro, AT LEAST ZFS does NOT brake while half of the DIY-NAS community is depending on that.
Thank you for your understanding :)
