I have a 2021 Kia Sorento with the problematic 8-speed wet-clutch DCT. The manufacturer recommends transmission oil changes every 100,000 km with a hard duty cycle, and this is where I am with it.

I went to the Kia dealer a few days ago to the oil changed. However, the service order shows that they used 2.8 L of IVTF-SP-CVT1 Yellow. This is CVT fluid. The parts manager insists it is interchangeable with Hyundai/Kia DCT SAE 75W Fluid, but I cannot find anything to support it.

It's driving like usual so far, but I am half-expecting the clutch pack to disintegrate on anything beyond our usual drop-off runs.

I think they messed up and don't want to pay $10,000 for a new transmission. This is not the first time with this dealer, but I have no choice to go elsewhere.

How screwed am I?
