Claude in Chrome extension won't connect to Cowork/Claude Desktop + tried reinstalling, still broken

Been trying to get Claude in Chrome working with Cowork on my PC, but the extension just won't connect. It's installed, I'm signed in, but I keep getting "Browser extension is not connected" when I try to use it.

Here's what I've already tried:

Restarted my computer

Deleted and reinstalled the extension multiple times

Cleared Chrome cache/cookies for claude.ai

Made sure I'm on a paid plan (Pro)

Any help would be appreciated since it suddenly stopped working when it was fine for a few months.
