now before i get started, i want to make sure a couple things are clear. When I talk about ADL, I am talking about the referenced [untitled] fan’s remixed version of the album, and the songs i added on top of it. i am never referencing the album coming straight from yeat and how that was released.
ADL…. where do we start ?
This album has had the most controversy of Yeat’s career and i am not trying to defend it whatsoever. Just trying to shed a new light on hopes it reaches the right audience.
The remixed album attached is how other’s and I strongly see the vision in how ADL should have been released in all its glory. With these tracks we’ve never heard, this album easily could be Yeat’s best work of art. When the album is aligned how it is with the song’s and transitions that it has, this album just SOUNDS like a choreographed performance. i don’t want to compare it to a movie or anything to mainstream as i feel it would take away from the beauty of the album. but when u can witness the album like this, boy can you tell how meticulously crafted this work of art truly is.
i’d like to say this goes for lots of albums released by labels. even tho we do get INCREDIBLE music a great amount of the time, even the greatest albums i feel could still have more to it if the label just let the artist be themselves 100% with little to 0 of a budget.
i will say whatever we got released by yeat clearly was not right. it was not what yeat visioned himself and is not meant to be released like it was.
i hope us as yeat fans that truly enjoy yeat’s alienated lifestyle music he makes will truly enjoy this remake of the album and really come to appreciate ADL in all of its beauty. in the way that i remade ADL on spotify really allows u to hear the A Dangerous Lyfe and A Dangerous Love evenly separated throughout the album.
