Is there a minimum rent price at which central air becomes more likely than not?

In Chicago, is it more likely to have AC in a more expensive apartment? I love Chicago but I hate being hot and humid so I'm trying to gauge how much I would need to make if I want to live somewhere with climate control. Graduating soon and will be looking for a job, in Chicago among other places. I hear that apartments in Chicago don't have AC and the summers can be miserable. I'm from an area where central air is required in rentals.

Open to suburbs, and the cold is not an issue at all for me.

Anyone snag Red Rocks reserved seating?

I got a GA ticket bc it said Reserved Seating tix weren’t available. I’m wondering if they just weren’t selling those rows atm or if they got sold out, or god forbid scooped by scalpers. I know Red Rocks is probably a particularly hot ticket

LA1 round up

Deets for LA shows at the Shrine!!

-Parked around 12:40, went into the USC Shrine Parking structure. Gate was open and pay is by texting plate number. I paid about $20 for the full day pass.

- Got into line around 1pm and there were like 50-ish people already there. Not sure when the earliest people showed up but I believe I saw a sleeping bag 👀

-Front of the line was towards Jefferson

- Venue staff moved the line away from the building and split the line into three lines, which all entered at the same time. Center line moved quickly but unfortunately left line got held up by metal detector things.

- Sun was blocked by the venue in the morning, but beat down directly on the line from about 12 onwards. By 5 or 6 it was pretty comfortable, but the sun is still direct. People brought sunscreen, umbrellas, chairs, blankets, fans, all sort of stuff. If you’re coming early be sure you have whatever you’ll need or can get to it relatively easily (next point)

- People were very good and nice about holding spots for each other to let people run out to get food, find bathroom, run home, move car, etc. Please keep it up! Makes the whole process so much more easy and enjoyable for everyone, especially when the line is out in the hot sun all day!

- They put up an outdoor merch table at 5pm! Merch was also available inside before and after show. Merch pics have been posted in this thread and somewhere on IG (band story?) There was at least one definitely LA exclusive shirt. Also the merch staff were hard-asses (bordering on assholes) about the Final Sale policy so when you go to buy make sure you double check the sizing of the items and whatever other details you need to see before you tap your card (Cashless venue, I believe). Also some knockoff merch vendors wandering about, no judgment at all but I’m pretty sure the band does not get any cut of that merch. (But also……. kinda camp….)

- The venue said they would try to let us in a lil early, like 7:45, and they did exactly that.

- The energy was fuckn amazing. If you’re going to night 2 or NYC/LDN shows I hope you bring it hard for the band because they are bringing it hard as fuck for us. I got emotional.

I KNEW IT

I was a little hesitant to open my heart to the new album because most of the singles needed time to grow on me, so I was afraid I might be disappointed. BUT a little voice in my head had the feeling that they might be saving their best stuff for the album. I’ve always loved the deep cuts on their albums more than the singles, so I wondered if maybe that would be the case for this album.

And it is!! Not only do I love a lot of the new songs (On Call made me sit up straight in bed adjfkslakd) but also the singles hit so much harder in the flow of the album.

The album feels so intensely affecting and I think it‘s because the whole thing feels like such a thoughtful project from top to bottom. The whole package feels like the band has elevated their game and created something very intentional, with every detail of the songs, music, lyrics, production, imagery, all crafted to create a rich experience and work together so so well. Self-titled felt like MUNA emerging from a Saturn return, trying to choose peace in the aftermath of turmoil. This album feels like a MUNA that has integrated the hard lessons and now has the strength to live in the emotional intensity, but by wielding it instead of being at its whims.

I can’t wait to see them do it live!!! What are our fave songs so far??
