Let’s talk about mainly singles and unmarried. You can see most of them share common unattractive traits.

Men
Style: No sense of it. Wearing football jerseys, army singlets or any event tees.
Outlook in life: Typically mummy’s boys and bring parents for major life decisions like buying an hdb flat. Can’t decide for themselves and hide behind the excuse of filial piety.
Hobbies: Gaming, watching football, etc.. Not willing to travel and mix with different cultures. Little bit of money, will go to Thai discos and drink.

Women
Style : Some don’t bother to groom or even comb hair
Outlook in life: Extremes of being either over reliant on men or think men are pigs. Don’t offer much in a relationship.
Hobbies: Shopping, social media, etc.. Whiny and just terrible dating partners.

Just some examples. If certain groups of people bother to upgrade and be more open minded, they won’t be involuntarily single. These days people rely on apps to find a mate, they find it difficult to manage real life conversations.

How many are willing to date outside your race, nationality or comfort zone.

Boomers seem to think they are exempted from social norms like queuing. At a bus interchange, you see a bunch of them waiting outside the queue zone. I think it’s time to stop this behaviour and politely inform them to get back in line. I get that people think, “Oh they’re old let them be, respect your elders” sort of nonsense.

Another boomer behaviour is playing music loudly contributing to noise pollution.

Common also is spitting and littering. Despite so much education in the 90s regarding these anti social acts, it still prevails.

Time for us to politely tell them that this is not acceptable. Nothing wrong with educating our boomer friends for the betterment of society. After all, learning is for all. Don’t be offended if they lash out when you call them out. It’s part and parcel.

$188 to join!

Looks like a full house marathon! Register early to avoid disappointment. Running has taken off so much, everyone’s into it. Could be due to social media but I feel it’s a good thing anyhow.

Our park connector network is quite extensive as compared to 10-15 years ago. My personal favourite would be Gardens by the Bay. Can’t wait for the greater southern waterfront route but that will be many years later.

What are your favourite routes in SG?

SCSM used an accredited route measurer to ensure accurate distance. How do other runs measure their routes? Why would there be such a huge discrepancy in the route distance like Income Eco Run?

Wonder what would the current organisers do better this time round. Excited to see how it’s going to be! For now the major change is that it is now spread over 3 days. I’m curious to know how it affects runners as I didn’t really see a problem in the previous 2 day format. Especially since the half and full marathon races were already in separate days.

Could it be a business decision to encourage more double up sign ups? Perhaps the half marathon could have been a night race instead. Share your thoughts!
