Someone has been able to purchase plane tickets using my Dads PayPal credit account totalling around £1,800. My Dad did not even know this account existed and is now receiving threatening letters for missed payments.

I have tried to appeal this multiple times however they keep denying the appeal due to the IP address of the purchase matching the account. My Dad is not tech savvy and would not have logged in to PayPal enough to have a regular login IP. They also will not provide this IP address so that I can verify this.

I have reported this to the police fraud team however I am doubtful that will help. Any advice would be appreciated! What are my next steps?
