I was excited to bring a new character to life this year. This is Inspector Elias Fawkes, an arcanist in service to the Earl Alyss Torfaen. While the game is fantasy I made it a point to make garb choices that felt more grounded in reality. I took a fair amount of inspiration from the Brotherhood of Sorcerers from The Witcher (books). Elias may be a powerful spellcaster but he is also a devoted academic. My other influence was Johann Konrad Dippel, the inspiration for Frankenstein. When not conducting his duties for the Earl he operates a small medical clinic and works to forward his personal research into reanimation.
