I don't know, but Skybound Entertainment has certainly been very ambitious and proactive over the years. In early April this year, Skybound subsidiary 5th Planet Games mentioned *The Walking Dead* in its annual report.

In 2025, Skybound also recruited narrative talent on LinkedIn.

My personal guess is that if there really is a new game, it might be set in a new story setting, like the third season.

If they are indeed developing it, I hope it will be a completely new character and a completely new storyline. Of course, I really like Clementine, but I think her ending was actually quite good.

However, it's also possible that Clementine will continue as the main character. There was an official comic about her that focused on how she survived in this post-apocalyptic world even after losing a leg.

These are just my personal opinions. If you have different ideas, feel free to discuss them.

Despite the fact that *The Walking Dead: New Frontiers* (Season 3) wasn't as popular as the first two seasons, I still think its overall plot is exceptionally well-written.

Marianna was such a lovely and endearing little girl. It was such a shame she left the story so early—if she had stayed, she would have brought us so much more joy.

Tripp was a very reliable companion and provided Javier with a lot of help. His ending was one of the most heartbreaking parts of the entire season for me.

Season 3 clearly has so much untapped potential, and I really hope that one day we'll see an official sequel to Javier's storyEven a comic book would be fine.
