I just recently discovered that there are two liens placed against my and my husband's house due to unpaid credit cards from 2018. Unbeknownst to me he ran up nearly $15k I'm credit card debt and was sued when it was not paid. One of the liens indicates a time frame that it would continue to accrue interest for 5 years from the date of the judgement. The second does not have an end date. I am in Texas. 1. Does the second judgment continue to accrue interest in perpetuity? 2. Who do I contact to get help with settling this debt? I only recently uncovered this when we were discussing taking out a home equity line to do some much needed repairs on the house. The cards were in his name only and I was not named in the suits.
