I posted this about a week ago and haven't received any answers as to why, logistically speaking, we are not investing into these types of flak rounds that we could probably make cheaper and better today than what we had in the 1940s because, with drones coming cheaper than ever and in larger numbers I don't think the Phalanx CIWS is the best choice.

And Like I said in my original post, the Phalanx CIWS is an amazing platform but, it is an insanely expensive way to take down 'cheap' drones.

P.S. I do not think we should get rid of the Phalanx CIWS, just like we shouldn't get rid of the A-10 Warthog.
