Can I close my claim during review?
I have a review request where they want to see 4 months of bank statements. Happy to provide them as it’s just food shops, nursery fees and bills. My savings are non existent now either have about £900 life time savings. My daughter’s dad does give me money per month to keep her which isn’t a formal Child maintenance agreement just a decision we reached mutually. I work full time Monday to Friday 9-5 which they know about and I only get £230 to help out with my nursery costs which are £400/500 + per month.
I told them at the start I didn’t want to keep claiming money while in full time work as I can’t make any of the appointments they set in my working hours. Now they are asking for the bank statements and I’ve heard some really horrible experiences with it that it’s just giving me too much anxiety to continue.
I want to know if I can close the claim while under review or if I should send the statements then close it? It was never ever my plan to be on UC long term. I got made redundant while recovering from sepsis caused by birth trauma and had no really other option. Now I am back on my feet I really just want to put it all behind me.
